LAHORE: Law Minister Babar Awan on Tuesday said Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif’s remarks on a ‘judicial marshal law’ were on conflict with the constitution.
Speaking to media representatives, Awan said “the people of Punjab have rejected politics of horse trading”.
He further said that the PPP-led coalition government had whole-heartedly accepted all sorts of objections and had taken unprecedented steps to hinder a return of dictatorship.
“I will face all the charges against me and I will not leave my courtly,” said Awan.
He further said that metric students who were not given their roll number slips for examinations should be compensated and allowed to take their exams.
Moreover, opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz said the explosion in Faisalabad was proof of the Punjab government’s failure.
