ISLAMABAD: The government has so far failed to comply with the orders of the Supreme Court to dismiss the chief of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The court on March 1 had directed the government to immediately remove Waseem Ahmed for allegedly continuing interference in the Haj scam probe despite restrictions imposed by the apex court two months ago.
Reliable sources told DawnNews that the government does not intend to remove him from the office because it thinks that the apex court is interfering in the matters of administration.
Meanwhile, a source close to Ahmed said that the chief of the FIA is ready to resign but was not allowed by some high government officials.
