ISLAMABAD: Citing the recent increase in oil prices in the international market, Oil and Gas Regulation Authority (Ogra) has forwarded a summary to the petroleum ministry seeking an increase in the prices of POL products from 12 to 21 per cent, DawnNews reported.
Sources said that the summary for increasing the prices has been prepared and the Ogra has advised an increase up to 21 per cent.
According to the summary, the prices of petrol could be increased by Rs6.30, high octane by Rs6.97 and kerosene oil by Rs11.67.
High and light speed diesel could see the surge of Rs9.80 and Rs14.30 respectively.
The new prices would come into effect from April 1 after the approval of the prime minister.
