PALLEKELE: Ross Taylor smashed a brilliant hundred to steer New Zealand to a huge 302 for seven against Pakistan in the World Cup Group A match here at the Pallekele International Stadium on Tuesday.
After captain Daniel Vettori won the toss and decided to bat first, New Zealand set Pakistan a difficult target of 303 runs.
Taylor made an unbeaten 131 off 124 balls with seven towering sixes and eight boundaries.
