KARACHI: Twelve people, including a political worker and a child, became victim of firing incident in different areas of the city as violence continued over night on Saturday.
Two youths were killed in the Garden area early morning while two bullet riddled bodies were recovered from F.B Area- Block 3 and Memon Goth.
A sixty-year-old Qadir Baksh was killed by unknown motorcyclists in Orangi Town. Baksh was a prayer leader in a mosque.
In another incident, a MQM worker Khurram Haroon was gunned down in Kahradar. After the murder, areal firing began in the area and angry protestors set ablaze the office of People’s Aman Committee (PAC), including a truck and a passenger bus in the Tower area.
Two brothers —Musawir and Sikandar —of a notorious criminal Mudassar Chief were targeted in Pehalwan Goth while another person was killed in the same area in another firing incident.
The situation became critical in the area after the killings and people disrupted traffic on roads by pelting stones.
A child died after being hit by a bullet in Gulistan-e-Juhar. According to the MLO of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, the child sustained a bullet wound on his head.
Two people were also killed in Super Highway and Ghani Chorangi area.
