MULTAN: Former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday said Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif should understand that the Unification Bloc’s defection has harmed democracy, DawnNews reported.
Qureshi said those who could change their political affiliations with changing times could not be trusted.
Speaking to media representatives in Multan, Qureshi said incidents such as the assassination of Shahbaz Bhatti would affect Pakistan’s image internationally.
He father said that he would not have visited Benazir’s mausoleum if he was another Farooq Leghari.
Qureshi said neither did he appreciate the politics carried out behind closed doors nor did he have a conspiratorial mindset.
He also said he knew the names of those who were pressuring television channels not to cover his return to Multan.
Qureshi said he would reveal the names of those who mishandled the Raymond Davis case when the time comes.
